Since its foundation in 2002 San Camilo Hospice has become a point of reference for hospice care in Argentina, assisting more than 2000 people with life expectancy less than six months, and accompanying relatives and friends without discrimination. Inspired in the spirit of Mother Teresa, pays special attention for those who lack economic resources or with no family support. Services are free and is sustained by donations and free work of 200 volunteers.

In a culture where we turn our backs on death, seen as a defeat to medical system and where euthanasia appears as a possible solution, San Camilo propose a society in which no one should live the end of life in abandonment and without comprehensive human care.

I took contact with the hospice in March 2019, aiming to record and share testimonies of people in their last stage of life. A few months later I started volunteering.
